This is my first Travel Wish List post, and I know it’s almost nearing half of the year, but I definitely want to still share this to you. Hope I could see these places for the year 2017 – 2018.

Yes, I include the year 2018 for this to be more realistic! Haha! As I have much going on and settled things here and there, I’d be more honest to say I can’t travel to these places this year. ๐Ÿ™‚

I am so excited to kick off this year with destinations and endless opportunities. I work as a nurse and blogging on the side is also my passion, so here is My Travel Wish List for 2017 – 2018.

I also have useful resources from my fellow bloggers who have already shared their experiences in these places.

Travel wish list

1. Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi, Vietnam

I always read blog posts about Vietnam and these two largest cities in the country, and I am always fascinated by their story. Why I wanted to go? Vietnam is known for its delicious and cheap street foods and accommodation. How lovely it is to travel without so much to spend on and learn from their culture. Also, it resembles like the Philippines so it wouldn’t be so hard to adjust while traveling except for the language. But this is no big deal.

I also looooove museums and other historical places, so this would be a BIG BIG PLUS!. I’ve known a fellow blogger who bought a beer for less than a dollar. That’s totally awwweeesoome! I should try that too. Lol anything for budget trips, I’m in!

Ha Long Bay, their famous tourist spot is also a must see for me but I feel like I Phu Quoc would fit my needs. Talk about white sand :))))

2. Prague, Czech Republic

Let’s move into Europe. One of the places I ever dream of living. So historical, so cultural, and so beautiful. Prague is probably one of the places that I still question myself why. Maybe because it’s not that known to Asian countries. Quiet and not over crowded. I’ve known only a little and that most of their tourists come from Western people.

I like to explore theirย castles and colorful buildings with old roads leading you to different sites by just walking. I like walking especially if I see something unique and exciting all over again.

3. Santorini, Greece

Travel Wish list shen on the blog

Love just how rugged their landscape is. It’s like waking up in front of nature. I’m a nature addict, so there’s no question I have included this in my travel wish list. Also, the minimalism and the color is so vibrant just by looking at pictures on the web and on Pinterest, gives me a relaxing vibe even if I’m not physically there. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. DAY TRIP: SANTORINI, GREECEย by the global bazaar

4. Bangkok, Thailand

Street life it is! Bangkok is known for vibrant city and street life. Why I love to visit Bangkok is also because of their food. They have the best cheap eats in the world from average restaurants to street-side food stalls. The spices, hmm I like spices… anything on top there.

The city’s serene temples is also a must see for me. Anything from temples, castles, ancient sites, these always amaze me and what beauty it gives.

I really wish I could just fly right now going to Bangkok!

5. Croatia

Located in Eastern Europe, Croatia is just an incredible place to visit because of its sunniest spots and beautiful nature everywhere. I would like to explore these areas, but those hidden ones are on top if my list like Nugal. I guess it’s not that crowded with tourist compared to Zlatni Rat, which is mostly visited by UK tourists.

Cruise holidays and festivals are some of the reasons why people come and re-visit. How lovely would it be to experience their festivals and meet people from around the globe.

Cable cars, chocolates, snow, cold weather, and train rides. Perfect for skiing and snowboarding, I look up to these activities since we don’t have it in the Philippines. I think it would be so much fun just having an unusual adventure (for me) in the snow and would love to know how it feels like doing these to do list ๐Ÿ™‚

Heard about Swiss watch? Well, I do! They are crafted with precision and quality. Price will equal the quality you get. I want to actually see one day from maybe somewhere that really manufactures it, if it could be possible ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Batsheva

I finally made it to your blog! Sorry it took so long to get over here. Life. Hehe, was that Airish with the $1 beer? Because her post did indeed make me want to go to vietnam. I love posts like these Shenna! I am such a travel junkie, even though I don’t often get to do it. I live in America, so even just a flight across the country can easily cost me up to $500 roundtrip. And lets please not talk about trying to fly overseas. However, I really want to see if I can visit Seoul, South Korea this summer. Someone mentioned in your comments how they were more attracted to Western places, because it was different from what they always see. It’s the same for me– I live in the US and am surrounded by western culture, so naturally, the first continent I want to discover is Asia. The Philippines is definitely on my travel list for some day. But one country at a time tho, haha.

I love your list, but I love the fact that you link up to articles about it more! Greece is on the top 10 of my over-all list – but oh my god, it’s so expensive + getting a visa is daunting. For this year, I’m just trying to go to Japan in winter. Previous travels last year drained my savings so.. I only get to choose one. And hopefully, next year, I’ll get to backpack Indo-China! I’m excited for it. Just gotta hustle to have that travel fund.

  14. Gillan

Wow, this is such a good list! I do hope you could visit them over the year and the next <3
Santorini is at the top of my list as I've always been in love with Greek culture and mythology. Switzerland looks so beautiful during sunset and Prague is so scenic. As you can see I have a bit of bias towards Western countries but I would love to visit Asian countries too as they're more accessible (and somewhat more affordable).

    19 . Apr . 2017
    • shennamariz

I agree with you on that Gillian. We crave to see more of what’s on the other side of the world ๐Ÿ™‚ I think maybe because, in every continent, it’s almost resembles every country, so that’s why. More affordable talaga sa Asian countries and nearer . Unahin muna to haha

  15. Da Dominguez

Greece and Switzerland are definitely on my bucket list, too! I know it’s a little far-fetched but hopefully… someday. Haha. It isn’t impossible naman. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Bangkok is a city I’d like to visit again and again (aside from Seoul and Tokyo haha). They indeed have the best cheap eats and my goodness, plus their weekend market (JJ Market) is so awesome! Affordable clothes, lodging and awesome food – what more can you ask for?

    18 . Apr . 2017
    • shennamariz

Tokyo and Seoul are both pricey! Haha I’ll choose Bangkok for travel budgets ๐Ÿ™‚ I can see that you really had so much fun with your visit there on Bangkok Kim, makes me feel a little more excited to go there. I really like to taste their spices. I love everything spicy ๐Ÿ™‚

Been to Prague and Switzerland. Prague twice, once during summer, once during winter. It was fantastic both times. You should do a food tour and just walk around a lot ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s such a fun city and great for solo travelers too because you’ll meet people almost instantly.
